I like the way you set this up. Gives you what is and what should or what other options are available. Television does take up a lot of time in one's life. Personally I enjoy it, but strangely enough I've found my tv hours dwindling a lot the past five years or so, as indicative of my almost filled TIVO, which I just can't seem to find the time to watch all the shows I think I want to watch Lol Angry birds I found was too addictive and sadly, as fun as it is, I had to delete the app from my Ipad, I was spending way too much time with it. Books, I spend a lot of time reading. I actually don't really watch the news outside of catching an article or two passing through the rooms, as my dad's a news junkie. I read articles on line and so forth, Depressing is a good word for watching the news though, especially the local one since those stories are so close to home. Excellent poem, and the way I read it, I'm seeing as being only one way one could read it, thus an excellent use of form. Thanks.
Thanks Fred. Sorry I haven't been to your blog in a while. I've been a bit out of it. And I have a lot of ideas, but somehow, how to put them out in ways that make sense is lost to me. I'm not too worried, this just happens to me.
I don't much watch tv. News... actually I avoid it. The stuff usually makes me depressed and angry.
BTW, If you are sick of angry birds, I recommend Kairo -- an abstract adventure game: I just think you will appreciate the art.
ha cool... really like the way you capture how it blends together in a vortex swirl..smiling at one thing at a time..we are so multitasking nowadays..ha... i'm not a big tv watcher.. it's a bit a shame but i don't even know how to switch ours on - that has to do with that one hundred different things are connected with it and we also have one hundred different remote controls and i just get lost..ha...smiles.. have a great saturday!!
ha there are often times i ask myslef what the heck am i watching...i really try to limit my time on it though...and just let me play...been there too...smiles...
Thanks Claudia and Brian. :)
Claudia: I can relate -- why can't TVs just function as TVs anymore, they really are getting too complicated. Smart TV and all that.
Now..I just need to be working on that new prompt. lol
I can relate to the distraction from TV.
sometimes, we just can't stop. recently, that's how i was with season one of Once Upon a Time
journey with a new friend
Laurie: I read your poem on that! :)
Z: addictive shows. So few and far between. It's Downton Abbey for me at the moment. :)
Thanks for coming by, Laurie and Zongrik.
it's true, there's little time for working adults in the evenings, especially here.
this looks like an experimental work, and i liked the repetition of "watching TV" (reminds me of the reruns on our channels) :)
